Degrees vs radians

Degrees are the most common for everyday measuring. Radians are common in math/engineering formulas. This page explains how they relate and where to find radians in the tool/export.

What’s the difference?

Degrees split a circle into 360 parts. Radians measure an angle as arc length over radius. Both represent the same angle; they’re just different units.

Quick conversions

  1. π radians = 180° (half a turn)
  2. 2π radians = 360° (a full turn)
  3. To convert: radians = degrees × (π / 180)

In the tool and exports

  1. Measure the angle in degrees as usual (180° or 360° mode depending on the shape).
  2. Check the radians value in the measurement list for that point (derived field).
  3. Export CSV/Excel/JSON to reuse radians directly in formulas.
