My Angle Looks Wrong (Not Accurate)

The protractor reading doesn’t match what you expect, or it changes when you zoom/adjust the image.

Most common causes

  • The photo is tilted or has perspective distortion.
  • You’re using 180° when you need 360° (reflex angles).
  • The vertex or baseline is slightly off because the edge is blurry.

How to fix it

  1. Align the background using rotate/flip and the grid.
  2. Zoom in and re-place the protractor center exactly on the vertex.
  3. Try snap common angles first, then switch to step snap or turn snap off to fine-tune.
  4. If the angle is over 180°, switch to 360° mode.
