Measurement report checklist
When you share a measurement, the number alone is rarely enough. Use this checklist so your screenshot and exported data are easy to understand later (or by someone else).
What to include in your report
- A screenshot (PNG) or report (PDF) showing the final alignment and angle reading.
- What you measured (object/diagram) and where the vertex is located.
- Your baseline definition: which edge/axis you aligned to and why.
- Tool settings that matter: 180° vs 360°, snap mode/step, and guides/grid usage.
- The measurement list: point order, angle values, and any derived values you used.
- Any uncertainty notes (blur, perspective, approximate edge) and how you handled it.
Which exports to attach
- PNG for quick sharing and embedding into docs.
- PDF when you want a single file that bundles screenshot + readings.
- CSV/Excel/JSON when you need numbers for analysis or re-use.
